Heritage trees - seminar in Pärnu

30. mail 2025 toimub Pärnus metsaomanikele suunatud üritus „Põlispuude lood“, mille eesmärk on tõsta teadlikkust põlispuude väärtusest ja loodushoiust. Kohtumispaigaks on Hestia Hotel Strand, Paralepa saal, A. H. Tammsaare pst 35 ning päeva juhib loodusemees ja rändaja Hendrik Relve.

Ürituse korraldavad Loodushoiu Fond ja Ühinenud Metsaomanikud, kes soovivad pakkuda metsaomanikele praktilisi teadmisi ja inspireerivaid lugusid sellest, kuidas põlispuud ära tunda, hoida ja väärtustada. Ürituse fookuses on ka uued suunad looduskaitse erarahastuses ning võimalus tutvuda põlispuude registriga.

 Pärast loenguid suundutakse ühiselt jalutuskäigule parki, kus Hendrik Relve tutvustab kuidas põlispuud ära tunda ja räägib nende ökoloogilisest ja kultuurilisest tähendusest.

Osalemine on tasuta, kuid eelregistreerimine on vajalik. Registreeruda saab kuni 30. maini siin

15:40–16:40 –– Põlispuudest ja nende olulisusest: kuidas ära tunda ja miks hoida? (Hendrik Relve)
16:40-17:00  –– Kohvipaus

17:00–18:30  –– Jalutuskäik pargis

Kogunemine õues ja jalutuskäik koos Hendrik Relvega. Reaalsete põlispuude näidete vaatamine pargis.

18:30 –– Päeva lõpetamine

The 29th international rural fair MAAMESS will take place on 20-22 April 2023 in Tartu Fairs Centre. Fair brings together agriculture, forestry, horticulture and food industry companies.

Digital seminar

On May 12, starting at 15:00, it is possible to participate in a 2-hour digital seminar, during which the development of the new afforestation carbon project introduces the activities of Ecobase, which is the creation of additional income for the landowner through the afforestation of non-forest land.

The seminar will be conducted by Loodushoiu Fond board member Pille Ligi and Ecobase CEO Jaan Sepping.

Global Congress of the International Land Conservation Network (ILCN) and Eurosite - the European Land Conservation Network (Eurosite-ELCN)

The 2021 Global Congress of the International Land Conservation Network (ILCN) and Eurosite - the European Land Conservation Network (Eurosite-ELCN) will bring together an international community of private and civic land conservation practitioners to advance their work and build capacity by sharing expertise in conservation finance, law and policy, organization and governance, land stewardship, large landscape conservation, and conservation technology. 

As nations around the world work towards ambitious targets to protect and restore biodiverse, climate-resilient ecosystems, private and civic land conservation is becoming increasingly significant at every scale- from micro reservas in Valencia, Spain to protected areas spanning tens of millions of hectares in Canada’s Far North. Targets such as protecting 30% of lands by 2030 can only be reached by taking a collaborative and inclusive approach that leverages and builds on the capacity of a range of land stewards - landowners, communities, and civic organizations, among others - to undertake voluntary, durable, and effective land conservation action.

Inspired by the beautiful Catalonian landscape, and using the digital tools available to bring together an ever growing community still facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite you to join us in continuing to learn from and support one another in advancing the private and civic land conservation movement.
